With another agent our home set on the market for 6 months. Lesson learned! Do your research on number of sales, sales price to list price ratio, days on the market, etc. before selecting your realtor. After our home dropped off the MLS, my phone started ringing off the hook with realtors promising the moon. I started learning and did my research. Sherri and Richard stood out as top real-estate sales people in the Sanger area. When I contacted Sherri she was very knowledgable about the Sanger, TX and surrounding area’s market. She even had first hand experience with our home before it had dropped off the MLS. Sherri and Richard had an outstanding number of sales in the area and her proposed pricing of our property was spot on. Sherri even had a plan of action to address the time our home had set on the market and not sold. Now for a kicker. My wife and I now live 800 miles away from Sanger. Sherri was able to rapidly give us a list of recommended work that needed done at our property and then follow that list up with suggested contractors we could depend on to get the jobs done fast and efficiently. She was there to let the contractors in to the property and there to inspect their work. Sherri’s pictures she put up on the internet were very well done and her description of our property demonstrated the love and attention we had put into our home. She was there on weekends multiple times showing the home. After listen with Sherri and Richard, things moved fast. Where with the previous realtor we never knew what was happening with our property; with Sherri we knew exactly when the home was being shown and when an inspector was at the property. From the time of listing the home with Sherri and Richard we were closed in a little less than 3 months. Now, a little over a month since closing, I still find myself breathing a sigh and reflecting about how nice it is to not have that extra house payment overshadowing us every month. I love looking at properties and think it would be fun to help people find the home of their dreams. However, looking at the hours and availability to answer phone calls at any time of the day and be there in the evenings and be there on weekends and somehow make me feel like I must be her only client…. there is no way I could do it. Sherri, Thank you for handling your job with such grace and skill. I have thought buying a home was the American dream; I now know that selling a home is actually the more important part of the transaction. Thank you for taking a nightmare and turning it into a great experience. Thank you again, Carlton Daugherty P.S. Talk to all the realtors, ask lots of questions, then go with Sherri and Richard to get your home sold!
